iTrace

The iTrace measures quality of vision and visual function using a fundamental thin beam principle of optical ray tracing, a first in eye care diagnostics. The iTrace sequentially projects 256 near-infrared laser beams into the eye to measure forward aberrations, processing data point-by-point.

It plays a special role in planning and follow up toric implants for cataract and refractive procedures

CT scan and MRI scan

These imaging modalities are required to know the pathologies that are not visible directly or their nature is ambiguous. These investigations are required in cases of

Optic Nerve disorders like Neuritis, Tumors etc.
Ocular and Extraocular tumors, cystic lesions etc.
Orbital fractures
Localization of intraocular foreign body
Inflammatory Orbital conditions like Thyroid Orbitopathy
Suspected brain involvement
Ocular Nerve paralysis

Exophthalmometry

An Exophthalmometer is an instrument used for measuring the degree of forward displacement of the eye in exophthalmos. The device allows measurement of the forward distance of the lateral orbital rim to the front of the cornea.

It used to know the extent of eye protrusion due to:
Thyroid Orbitopathy
 Orbital tumors

Lacrimal syringing

It is an invasive test by which the patency of the lacrimal pathway is tested.

After anaesthetizing the conjunctival sac and dilating the punctum a blunt canula attached to the syringe having saline is introduced into punctum and the fluid is pushed. During the process if the fluid flows freely and felt in throat by the patient there is no obstruction.

And if the fluid does not flow freely there is an obstruction and its level can be assessed by the examiner
